Infographic: Asia’s HK$4 trillion e-commerce market

by admin
After steady growth in the past few years, e-commerce spending in Asia is set to surpass half a trillion US dollars (four trillion Hong Kong dollars) by the end of 2014.
A new infographic from web design firm Go-Globe represents Asia’s e-commerce trends on business-to-consumer shopping sites such as Rakuten, Amazon and Tmall.
The graph does not cover consumer-to-consumer or informal selling over the internet on sites such as Bay or Taobao.
General trends on the graph show that China’s business-to-consumer shopping market sees double the spending of Japan’s, and Chinese e-shoppers will spend roughly US$274.5 billion in 2014, versus US$127 billion in Japan.
